After the second place in the Nordic Championship last weekend in the V150 with Kristoffer Knutsen the team headed for Tvedestrand and the Continental (European) Championship wedensday. The tent was up, the boat in great shape and everyone was looking forward to the first race thursday.
Race 1 did start as planned and the weather did suite the Batboat perfect. Unfortunately our strong competitor, B-38 did a nosedive and breaked the boat. Both of the crew was sent to hospital and the race was cancelled. The organizer of the races had to extend the race 2 to fullfill the international rules to get a valid CC. Race 2 was now the only valid race and some laps longer.
The start was on, but today the weather was a lot calmer. Anyway the B-77 started in 5. position but did a really good race. Mirell and Tobias ended up as nr. 3 and then bronze meal in the CC.
The crew in B-38 is now out of hospital and doing well.
Wedensday this week Tobias is heading for Kazan, Russia for the next race in the F4s with Team Nautica. New updates soon!
